We haven’t been able to come up with a real good title or a job description for Todd. But since he doesn’t get paid, no one knows how to fire him.

Todd Hillard makes a living (such as it is) as a freelance writer. He has written over 12 Christian non-fiction books, numerous magazine articles and study guides, including daily devotions for Promise Keepers. Some it is actually worth reading. More importantly, he is a husband, father and a seeker of the heart of God.

As a 20 year veteran of faith-based non-profit organizations, he has logged thousands of hours as a teacher, small group facilitator and one-on-one mentor. His passion for the personal learning process overflows not only in his writing, but in all areas of his professional and personal life.

Todd’s wife Maureen is commonly known as “Mo” (as in “Larry and Curly”).  She was on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ before she and Todd married and partnered together for 2-1/2 years of ministry in Turkey, and is an integral part of the woman’s ministry—in between carpools and running a very successful Pampered Chef business, that is.

 

Random Facts of Questionable Value:

· Has 5 kids (all girls except for 4 boys).

· Was a nationally ranked downhill ski racer.

· Speaks great Turkish and lousy Spanish.

· Is an avid mountain biker.

· Performed on stage in Las Vegas with Bob Hope.

· Loves Hootie and the Blowfish, Skillet and Vivaldi.

· Hates Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond.

· Is an aerobatic private pilot.

· Plays acoustic guitar, sort of.

· Has 17 years experience as a pastor and missionary.

· Prefers doing things at night and in the off-season.

· Is a mediocre—but enthusiastic—endurance athlete.

· Most influential books: Desiring God, John Piper; Holy Sweat, Tim Hansel; Sit Walk Stand, Watchman Nee; Ragamuffin Gospel, Brennan Manning.

· Favorite authors: Anne Lamott, Hemingway, and Norman McLean.

· Has a B.S. in Psychology and pre-med, an MA in English, and is slowly working on a doctorate in Religious Studies.

· Got a “D” in typing.  That’s why he chose to be a writer. (Go figure.)
